Launched in 1996 by Valley resident Kunal Naik as a family business with the help of his father, Swisstek has led the resurgence in petite Swiss watch constructing and emerged as an global luxuriousness Swiss-made watch brand synonymous with bold designs that integrate rare and distinctive elements.
Nearly 15 years later, today Swisstek is a $1.5 million company with watches that are sold in 50 stores all over the U.S., 50 all over Europe, as well as stores in Singapore, Hong Kong and India, and a strong presence in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait City and Qatar. Developing the Swisstek brand at a time when inheritance Swiss watchmaking was being outsourced to huge volume-based constructing practices, Swisstek is one of few companies to work wholly with these petite watchmakers for inspiration, influences and as a source for quality parts for Swisstek’s collections. Each Swisstek watch is devised as a fixed edition and is crafted from the most eminent quality, cutting-edge materials and Swiss-made movements, from high-performance tungsten to dynamic Finnish stainless steel. Incorporating distinctive elements not found in established watch collections, Swisstek brings about bold and distinguishable designs with natural colored diamonds, sapphires and emeralds. Natural diamonds are particularly rare as the natural routine to invent these one-of-kind red, pink, purple and chocolate stones requires the perfective combining of physical conditions, followed by meticulous sorting and assessment by Swisstek masters for each timepiece. With each timepiece personally inspected by Naik, all diamonds used are likewise hand-selected.
