Chrome Drink Mixer

ReviewDrop a dime into the jukebox, press F2 for Fats Domino’s “Blueberry Hill,” and dreamily drift back to the ’50s, when bobbysoxers and guys with ducktails or wearing white bucks (never, ever both) idled away after-school hours at the local drugstore’s soda fountain sipping chocolate malts that had been churned to a smooth, frothy consistency by a mixer precisely like this one. Hamilton Beach’s drink mixers begun appearing at soda fountains in 1911; this 14-1/2-inch-high, 70-watt model, in creamy green, recalls Elvis’s basi decade. But it’s 21st-century, too, blending fruit smoothies and health drinks as well as milk shakes and malted milks. Also use it to mix puddings and beat eggs for omelets. Two speeds offer mixing flexibility, and the tilting head makes it easy to remove the spindle for cleaning. Its professional-style, stainless-steel cup holds 28 ounces and is dishwasher-safe. –Fred Brack

1Its plastic and not as powerful as the original
By William G. Thomas
A few lines will have to have been added to the product description: “This unit is made of plastic. It’s not as powerful as the firstborn soda shop unit. It’s littler and has less capacity than the real thing. The bottom is not weighted and the unit is inclined to tip over when firstborn turned on with shake ingredients in cup. Can be without apparent effort knocked over when inserting the cup into the unit”. For the price, it’s okay … it does make a outstanding shake. But the description of “like the original” is far from teh truth.

5Classic Drinkmaster
By blueangel
I purchased this drink mixer because I love to make milk shakes and other kinds of frozen drinks. I did read the reviews introductory and noticed that there were a lot of negative reviews. I decisive to undertake the mixer anyway, and decisive that if it couldn’t handle ice cream and the such that I would merely use it for powdered drinks. I received it in the mail yesterday and make a chocolate shake today. I was in truth shocked by the amount of power that this machine had. I filled the cup with regards to two thirds full and started the machine. At first, I thought that I was on the high setting because of the amount of power. So I tried the next setting. This one genuinely caused the cup to overflow because of the power. I do not recognise if they substituted the motor or what Hamilton Beach did, but the machine definately outperforms my expectations. I would highly commend it!

1Toothpick for a mixer
By Chef Tell
I was excessively affected emotionally when it comes to the thought of using a nostalgic chrome mixer for ice cream shakes. Unfortunately, this product has the strength and blending power of a toothpick. The mixer wand is regarding 1 inch in diameter and made of very cheap plastic. It doesn’t mix ice cream worth a dime… This is the introductory product I’ve ever had to return to Amazon. Don’t waste your money.
