Fruit of the Spirit: A Children’s Bible Study of Galatians By Ken McClenton David Walters has produced an splendid work of ministry in Fruit of the Spirit. Walters presents one of the New Testament’s most referred to scripture in a most likeable format for children. As a parent, I was impressed with the simple Bible instruction and some cartoons. As a Sunday school teacher, I may report that my students were enthralled by the ease of language and enjoyed the discussions that followed the readings. In addition, the children found the chapter quizzes most helpful in remembering each gift and reinforcing the lesson. Finally, as a youth minister, I highly urge pastors and teachers to consider Walter’s books in lieu of the children’s studies that are normally chosen for group study. When the Gospel is taught simply, children plainly instruct others.

Great book, but with a disclaimer By mountain mama I in truth enjoyed doing this Bible study with my kids. However, I just want to warn the reader that if you’re using this with a younger child, be conscious that it does mention ‘having s*x, and fornication. I wasn’t prepared when it came up, and I’m glad my ( 8 year old) child wasn’t reading it on his own. This may not be an issue for some, but it caught me off guard and I just wanted to give a heads up. Otherwise, we actually got a lot out of this book!
